We were not so fortunate when we got hail a few weeks ago, but we feel fortunate to still have a roof over our heads and our belongings. It has been a rough couple of weeks for Manhattan, ks. Although we had extensive damage from the hail, nothing compares to the tornado that ripped through Manhattan. It was really scary and the weather is so eerie you just knew something was going to happen. I don't think anyone expected a tornado, F4, and quarter of a mile wide. Although there were a few broken bones, no one sustained anything serious. The pictures are of a beautiful neighborhood that many houses were leveled or had a lot of damage. If you see half a house and nothing next to it, that house is gone. I can't even describe how it feels to drive through these neighborhoods.

That looks terrible and it must have been terrifying when it was happening. Poor families whose homes were destroyed. I am thankful that nothing happened to you guys and your home. Call me sometime, I have been running around trying to get stuff done, we leave in about 45 days. It is soooo depressing. Alright ttyl!
