Thanksgiving Feast
Shane had a Thanksgiving Feast for his First Grade Class. They recited a poem about thanksgiving and got to cook what they thought might have been at the original feast. His class was assigned the succotash, which he tried, but wasn't too fond of. They also had turkey, cornbread, grapes, pumpkin pudding and of course turkey. All three first grade classes got to eat together, so I think that was the fun part of the day. If you can't tell, Shane chose to be an Indian.

Shane's Second to Last Game
Shane has one more game, but has been doing really well. He has had a great season and made a lot of new friends. Hopefully he will want to continue into the next season. Now that the season is almost over I am getting better about not pacing up and down the field. Now I just pace around in the same area, but I still have to yell for all the players. Alyssa is my cheerleader, she mostly claps when everyone claps and yells for Shane. When she isn't doing that, I am chasing her around the field trying to contain her, but anyone who knows Alyssa, knows that isn't easy.
Happy Halloween
Shane's Halloween Party/Scarecrow Day
Shane had a Halloween party at school and they don't let them wear costumes. All of the kids did dress as scarecrows for their Scarecrow Program. Shane had a lot of fun and helped me design his scarecrow shirt, by informing me where all the rips and tears go. They also had a Halloween party after their program, which I somehow was put in charge of. It was a really stressful week for me, but what isn't. They got to decorate cookies, make glowing ghosts, and put their hands in the body of my mummy, which ended up being more tedious than expected. The kids loved it all, so it was definitely worth it.
