Shane's 6th Birthday

Shane had a great birthday with all his friends at the bowling alley. He like every other child had to have a star wars theme. So I went hunting for the right cake to make. Darth Vadar was out because the black icing issue, so we setteled on R2D2. I was pretty nervous, but it turned out great, thank goodness...I was sweating bullets. Everyone had a good time and he was even lucky enough to celebrate his birthday on his actual birthday.

First Day Of School

The first day of school was Aug 13th...ready or not!!!

A Very Rainy Day

We had almost 5 inches of rain, I think. I went to get the mail and of course Alyssa had her rain boots on before I had my shoes on. She put Shane's transformer rain coat on and off she went. There is nothing better than stomping in puddles, so of course I had to drag her back in. All the water on the garage floor is from the inside of her boots.

Birthday Month

We celebrated Shane's birthday early this month. We had a little family party for him before daddy left. He was pretty excited to get the star wars space ship. For all the people that notice the christmas paper, it was the only one I had enough of.

Our Trip to Montana

We had a really good trip to Montana. We drove over 3400 miles in 12 days, we were exhausted. We got to hang out with the family and go to a wedding. This picture below was the wedding rehearsal BBQ, that got rained and hailed on, but everyone was a trooper. Even Alyssa was tired by the end of the night, so Auntie Kay took over, thank goodness. We were happy to have the opportunity to visit family before Shane had to go back.
